Brenda Marcantel Welch

Brenda Marcantel Welch, 68, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 in a local healthcare facility.

Mrs. Welch was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and graduate of Marion High School. She was an avid sports and NASCAR fan.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her only daughter, Melissa Diane Braught and husband Blake of Collierville, TN; five grandchildren, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Mikaela Floyd and husband Travis, Christen and Amanda; one sister, Sandra Noble and husband Bob of Liberty, TX and companion, Tommy Kolb of Lake Charles.

Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ida Miller Marcantel; one sister, Janice Creader and one brother, Gary Louis Marcantel.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jamie Simmons will officiate. Interment will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Fenton, LA. Visitation Monday will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
