Brian David Cormier, 52 of Iowa, LA, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 7, 1973.
Brian was a 1991 graduate of Iowa High School and a 1995 graduate of McNeese State University. He had a career in the gaming industry.
Brian is survived by his parents, Jeff and Mary Cormier of Iowa; his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and M.E. Cormier; nephew, C.J. Cormier; niece, Betty Cormier all of Baton Rouge; and his Godchild, Emily Gaspard of Eunice.
Brian is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Viola Cormier, and his maternal grandparents, Edwin and Mattie Howard.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. Rev. Tony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Thursday in the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., with a rosary at 11:30 a.m.
