Caleb Ashton Thomas Pettefer "Izzy"

Caleb Ashton Thomas Pettefer, 23, passed away on September 3, 2026. He was born February 16, 2003, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to James Michael Pettefer and Jennifer Arlene Thomas McNabb. 

Caleb graduated from Barbe High School in 2021 and attended McNeese State University. He was an incredible artist who loved painting and digital art. He also enjoyed gardening and video games. Caleb loved his two cats, Yeti and Taco, and cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Those from his Father's family left to cherish his memory are Sister Hailie Pettefer and her Fiancé Dakota Hicks, Grandparents Donald and Cheryl Pettefer, Valerie Callaway, and John and Shelley Myatt, Nephew Oliver Hicks, Nanny Ashley Serrette, along with numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Preceded in passing are Grandparent Doug Hansen and Special Great Grandmother Barbara Toothman.

Those from his Mother's family left to cherish his memory are Sister Olivia Daniel and Husband CC, Brothers Braden Gorman, Declan Thomas, TJ, Andrew and Avery McNabb. Grandparents Michelle and Steve Baker, and Kathy Thomas. Nieces Rowen Daniel and Alani Chriswater. Preceded in passing are Mother Jennifer Arlene McNabb, Stepfather Timothy McNabb, and Grandfather Drew Thomas. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and continue Thursday at 9:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Garden.
