Ms. Cari Lynne O’Brien, 63, of Sulphur passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, in a local hospital.
Mrs. O’Brien was born April 1, 1962, in San Antonio, TX to Joseph Clinton O’Brien and Mary Ann Sterling O’Brien. Ms. O’Brien worked many years as a Nurse’s Aide, utilizing her vibrant personality and sense of humor to care for patients of High Hope Nursing Home. She also worked many years serving as a waitress and later a baker, where she was well known for both her hospitality and delicious deserts at The Boiling Point. For the past several years, she has been a member of the Sulphur Senior Center Club where she met many friends and enjoyed sharing in the activities of this community group. She loved baking, watching her sister’s plays, sitting on the beach, being a grandma and making others laugh. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and the time she shared when helping care for them as well as the time she shared with friends. Ms. O’Brien will be most remembered for always being there for those in need, sharing what she could to make others feel special and loved. She was of Baptist faith.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her partner of 13 years, Sam Bailey; daughters, April Morgan Gonzales and Autumn Morgan; Son-in-Law, Moises Gonzales; grandchildren, Christian Morgan, Morgan Silas Morgan, Alivia Farris, Maria Gonzales, Moises Gonzales and Marco Gonzales; sister, Joann O’Brien Hanks (Tony), brother, Ken O’Brien (Sherry) and one niece, Katelyn O’Brien.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. Visitation Friday will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
