Carl V. "Manny" Doyle Sr.

Iowa- Carl V. Doyle, Sr., 80, passed away in a local hospital May 25, 2015.
A native of Oakdale, Manny was born on November 12, 1934 to the late Seab and Ivory Buxton Doyle. He retired from PPG and was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Iowa. Some of his hobbies were hunting and watching sports, particular LSU. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Manny always had a smile on his face, full of life and never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jo Ann Doyle of Iowa; children, Carl V. Doyle, Jr.( Pamela), of Oakdale, Lisa Johnson (Kenny) of Westlake, and Selena Lockhart (Mark) of Moss Bluff; siblings, Fred Doyle (Gracie) and Billie Jean Slaney and Eva Mae Richmond, both of Oakdale; like a brother, Tommy Sinclair; grandchildren, Clayton Doyle, Dyllon Johnson and Jada Lockhart and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Bill Doyle, Norman Doyle, Herman “Buddy” Doyle, Patsy Dickey and Erma Stoma; parents.
Funeral services will be in 1st Baptist Church of Iowa on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brandon Oliver and Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Creek Cemetery ~ Pine Prairie under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is in the church beginning Thursday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. and resume Friday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
