Carmel Fay Hunt

Welsh – Carmel Fay Hunt, born on October 18, 1932 to the late Lawrence and Sadie Cady in Chloe, passed away September 16, 2017 in her residence.

She was a member of Grace Harbor Lighthouse.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dewey “Nick” C. Hunt; children, Earl Olmsted (Betty), Charlotte Olmsted, Roland Olmsted and Cathy Israel (Willard), Bryan Dale Hunt (Nancy), Howard Charles Hunt (Tina), Kevin Wayne Hunt (Marlo) and Tommy Allen Hunt (Yvette); children of her heart, Brad and Debbie Bennett; sister, Reba Mott (Stanford); 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ernest Olmsted; siblings, Patsy Myers, Larry Cady, and Nadline LeBleu.

Funeral services are in Grace Harbor Lighthouse, 6118 River Rd., Lake Charles; Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rick Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Monday in the church from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m.
