Carolyn Golemon Angelo, 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born September 9, 1949 to Millard and Myrtle Golemon in Lake Charles, LA. She grew up in Lake Charles and graduated from LaGrange High School in 1967.
She later attended McNeese State University and was a dedicated member of University United Methodist Church. She devoted 37 years of service to the District Attorney’s Office and had recently retired. She was the most selfless, kind, loving lady with immense patience and adored her family and friends. She appreciated the many aspects of nature, most of which she enjoyed through trips to the beach, Angel Fire, and weekends at her family camp in Toledo Bend which she considered her “Happy Place”.
Mrs. Angelo is survived by her daughters, Shannon D Kibodeaux and Brandi K Sonnier (Dan); stepdaughter, Connie Angelo LeJeune (John); sister Barbara Hebert (Olin); brother Sherwood Golemon; grandchildren, Kailyn Sonnier (Tristan), Abbie Sonnier, Ethan Sonnier, Larry Sonnier, Jaidyn Kibodeaux and Braelyn Simms; Step grandchildren, Terrance Angelo (Kristin), Joseph Angelo (Jordan) and Angelina Shadoin (Robbie); several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herbert Angelo and sister-in-law, Betty Golemon.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Noon in Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff with Reverend Angela Bulhof officiating. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Elizabeth, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
