Carolyn Ann Palmore

Carolyn Ann Palmore, 84, of Lake Charles passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 at a local hospital.  Carolyn was born October 12, 1938 in Mamou, Louisiana to Orville and Odeal Alexander.  A lifelong resident of the Lake Charles area, Carolyn married John Royall Palmore a marriage that lasted over 53 years until his death in 2014.  She was a faithful, longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Cynthia “Cyndi” Cisneros and her husband Jorge of Houston, son, Jon Palmore of DeRidder; 3 grand children, Cristin Ardoin, Hannah O’Neil and husband Jason, and Allison Thomas and her husband Robin.  She is survived by 7 great grandchildren, Ashlyn Lee, Hayden Alexander, Dillon O’Neil, Declan O’Neil, Jack Thomas, Penelope Thomas and Milo Thomas; Siblings, Judith Edwards and Kenneth Alexander, along with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by 2 children, Chris Palmore and Craig Palmore, and 2 brothers, Orville Alexander and Timothy Alexander.

Visitation for Carolyn will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, and will resume Thursday at noon.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 26, 2023 at St. Theodore Catholic Church, 785 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy, Lake Charles, LA. 70611. Graveside services will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
