Carolyn Ann Schexnayder

Carolyn Ann Conner Schexnayder, 59, of Lake Charles, LA died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 in a local hospital.

Ms. Schexnayder was born July 7, 1951 in Crowley, LA and lived most of her life in the Lake Charles / Sweetlake areas. She was a 1969 graduate of Grand Lake High School, attended McNeese State University, and graduated from Spencer Business College in Lafayette, LA. She worked at McNeese State University in a number of different roles.

Ms. Schexnayder is survived by her sisters, Willie Mae Guidry and husband Ronald of Morse, LA and Gladys "Blue" Ogea of Big Lake; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Vickie Brown of Lake Charles and her sons, Matt and Michael; step-mother; one step-sister; and one step-brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Levodie and Ruby Conner.

Her memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Dan Landry will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
