Carolyn Faye Primeaux

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Faye Simpson Primeaux, who left us on September 3, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on October 8, 1945, in Lewisville, Arkansas, to Durwood and Sybil Marie Morton Simpson.

Carolyn filled her life with love, laughter, and a passion for education that touched countless lives throughout her career as a teacher. She and her husband were members of the MSU Cowboy club. She loved to read books, loved murder mystery shows. She enjoyed taking walks.

Carolyn lived in Singer, Louisiana, with her daughter, Lori, where she created a warm and welcoming home for her family. She is survived by her children, Stephen Primeaux (Regina), Z.-Lori Marie Primeaux-Coleman (Patrick), Mark Alan Belmont Primeaux (Julia), and Anne-Marie Primeaux-Doty (Brian); her dog, Cinceaux, 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 12 grand Fur babies as well as her sisters Nora Marie Cooper (Louis Rousell) and Robbie Jean Jernberg. Carolyn also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Robert Primeaux (Jean). A celebration of Carolyn's life will take place on September 9, 2026. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service to honor her legacy at 12:00 PM. Carolyn will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge her doctor, and nurses at Dr. Springers office. All the Doctors, nurses and CNA at CalCam hospital. And her caregivers for the past four years, her daughter, Lori Marie and son n law, whom she called son, Patrick Scott.
