Carolyn Reed

December 22, 1946 — April 17, 2017

Carolyn Sue Reed (Odom) fondly known as "Mamou" was called to her Heavenly home on Monday, April 17, 2017.

Carolyn was born on December 22, 1946 in Beaumont, TX. She graduated from South Park High School in Beaumont, attended Lamar University and completed her studies in Radiology Technology. She loved working in the medical field and taking care of others. Carolyn was an avid reader and looked forward to her monthly book club with special friends and her daughter Michelle. She also enjoyed visiting with her dear friends where she lived at "The Villa." She was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her daily devotions and bible and watching Joel Osteen. Most of all, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her four children and numerous grandchildren. She loved attending and always supporting her grandchildren at their various activities and events, especially watching Emeline's volleyball games. The two of them had a special bond, and she was her biggest cheerleader! Carolyn was particularly fond of Wells Jr.'s passion for filmmaking. And, she was immensely proud of his recent acceptance into NYU. She loved that she finally figured out Facebook and could keep up with her other grandchildren through social media. Mamou was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Michael Reed of Orange CA, Randy Wingenroth of New Braunsfels TX, Michelle Watson of Lake Charles LA, Marsha Reed and husband David Lisenby of Silsbee TX; daughter of the heart, Lori Champagne and husband Thad; grandchildren, Chase, Justin and Chelsea Reed, Andrew Wingenroth, Christian Bowman and husband Ryan, Wells, Jr and Emeline Watson, Bethany and Shadrak Lisenby; grandchildren of the heart, Bailey and Payten; great grandchildren: Abigail and Oliver Wingenroth and Zander Bowman, Kaymin and Ethan Lisenby; sisters, Judy Evans and husband Steve Highlands Ranch CO, Mary Linker and husband Bill of Beaumont TX; niece, Melissa Kraber and husband Jeff and their children.
