Carolyn "Nate" Stevens

March 11, 1959 — January 17, 2026

Lake Charles

Carolyn Annette Stevens, 66, of Lake Charles, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Carolyn spent her life in Lake Charles. She graduated from Barbe High School in 1977 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Office Management. She built a long career with Louisiana Pigment, Louisiana Machinery, and Cintas Uniform Services at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino.

Carolyn brought people together through the things she loved. She baked for family gatherings and holidays; her cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and pecan candy were family favorites. She also enjoyed painting and playing trivia games on her phone. She watched 70s and 80s sitcoms and sang along to 80s music. She was a devoted New Orleans Saints and Pelicans fan.

Family mattered most to Carolyn. She showed up as her sons’ greatest supporter and loudest cheerleader. She loved spending time with family and friends and encouraged others through a Facebook dialysis group, supporting those facing dialysis and transplant journeys. People will remember her kind, caring, and forgiving heart—and the way she consistently showed up for others. Above all, she lived as a woman of faith and prayer.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Jeremy Alexander Stevens and Andrew Christopher Stevens, both of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, K’lynn Rosa’lee Lyles and Jaiden Hendrixx Stevens; one sister, Sandra JoAnn Stevens; two brothers, Keith Marthel Stevens and Reginald J. Stevens (Mary); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She reunited in peace with her parents, Wilbert Arthur Stevens and Barbara Baker Stevens; her brothers, Michael Ray Stevens and Wilbert Dwayne Stevens; her sister, Sheila Marie Stevens; and her nephews, Wesley Stevens and Keith Marthel Stevens, Jr.

Carolyn’s family and friends will gather at a later date to share memories and celebrate her life.
