Carolyn Annette Stevens, 66, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a 1977 graduate of Barbe High School and continued studies to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Office Management. She worked many years for LA Pigment Company, LA Machinery Company and Cintas Uniform Services for Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. Carolyn was a talented baker and was the baker for family gatherings and holidays. German chocolate cake, cupcakes, brownies and pecan candies were amongst her family’s favorites. She also enjoyed painting, playing trivia phone games, watching late 70’s and 80’s sitcoms as well as singing along to 80’s music. She was an avid New Orleans Saints and Pelicans fan and above all, her son’s greatest supporter and loudest cheerleader. She enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and was all about family. She will be remembered for her support and words of encouragement to a Facebook Dialysis group and those in need of transplant. She will be most remembered for her love and devotion to her sons and grandchildren, her kind, caring and forgiving heart and for always being there. Carolyn was a lady of faith and prayer.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Jeremy Alexander Stevens and Andrew Christopher Stevens, both of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, K'lynn Rosa'lee Lyles and Jaiden Hendrixx Stevens; one sister, Sandra JoAnn Stevens and two brothers, Keith Marthel Stevens and Reginald J. Stevens and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Arthur Stevens and Barbara Baker Stevens; two brothers, Michael Ray Stevens and Wilbert Dwayne Stevens; a sister, Sheila Marie Stevens, and two nephews, Wesley Stevens and Keith Marthel Stevens, Jr.
Carolyns family and friends will gather to for remembrances in celebration of her life at a later date.
