Iowa – Carrie M. LeBlanc, 89, passed away in her home on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Carrie was born in Iota on October 24, 1931 to Oscar and Empress (Thibodeaux) Esthay. She devoted her life to her children & grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, entertaining & spending time with friends & family and cooking and baking. She was highly creative and an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Bebee; son, Daniel LeBlanc (Peggy); brothers, Durphey Esthay, Wilbert Esthay (Jennie), and Terry Esthay (Bessie); 7 grandchildren, Scott Bebee, Brad Bebee, Carrie Bebee, Joshua LeBlanc (Frances), Jeremiah LeBlanc (Pilar), Kevin LeBlanc (Anne) and John LeBlanc (Brooke); 11 great-grandchildren, Alexis Ardoin (Wyatt), Anna Lindeman, Emmalee LeBlanc, Grace Lindeman, Alexander Smith, Lincoln LeBlanc, Noah LeBlanc, Kohen LeBlanc, Hannah Smith, Kegan LeBlanc, and Matthew LeBlanc. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cline; parents and five of her siblings.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Charles Borromeo of Fenton on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Raymond Hathaway Community Cemetery in Raymond, Louisiana under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service will be her grandsons.
As per the request of the family, facial coverings are encouraged, and no food will be allowed in the funeral home.
