Carter Michael Fontenot

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.

Carter Michael Fontenot, God’s little angel, was welcomed into His arms Friday, October 08, 2021.

Carter brought and received overwhelming love and will forever be remembered in the hearts of his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Kamryn Nicole Fontenot of Lafayette; grandmother, Casey DeRouen (Joseph) of New Iberia; grandfather, Shane Lee Fontenot (Brandi) of Eunice; great-grandmothers, Janice Muffoletto of Broussard and Margarita Fontenot of Shreveport; four aunts, Kennedy DeRouen, Harley Cormier, Darian Fruge and Olivia Fontenot and Godparents, Logan Altman and Emma Muffoletto and many great- aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Michael Paul Muffoletto and Nelson Eugene Fontenot.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Father Casey Dugas will officiate. 

Pallbearers for services will be Carter’s grandfathers.
