Cartha Hafer Rogers

Cartha C. Hafer Rogers, 80, of Vidor, TX passed away on April 4, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Westlake, Louisiana. Cartha enjoyed fishing, and raising rabbits. She belonged to the America Rabbit Breeder Association since 1965 and received her last trophy in 1995. Cartha loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Cartha is survived by her brother, Arnold “Jack” Hafer and wife Zan; her sister, Saline Hafer Fontenot; and her brother-in-law, Wallace Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Rogers; son, Terry Rogers; parents, Henry and EPauline Hafer; siblings, Henrietta Hafer Smith, George Hafer, and Gladys Guidry.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Adrian Littlefield officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. at Johnson and Robison with visitation continuing on Friday April 7 from 10 A.M. until time of the service.
