Catherine A. Bellomo
February 8, 1928 — June 23, 2011
Catherine A. Bellomo, 83, formerly of Lake Charles passed away at 7:55 PM, Thursday, June 23, 2011 in a Lafayette Retirement Center.
She was a native of Alexandria and lived in Lake Charles most of her life, prior to moving to Lafayette. Ms. Bellomo was a longtime member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Bellomo Prejean of Lafayette; one son, Sam Bellomo and wife Eva Rita of Lake Charles; three grandsons, Jody Prejean and wife Natasha, Sam Bellomo, Jr. and wife Nicole, and Troy Bellomo; three sisters, Cecelia Becker, Hilda Pianta, and Mary Byrd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Bellomo.
Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM, Sunday, with a Catholic Daughter's Rosary at 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
