Catherine Joan Siegman

Catherine J. Siegman, 92, of Ragley passed away at 6:25 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 in her residence.

Mrs. Siegman was born on December 18, 1924 in Worcester, England and came to the States in 1948. She met her husband, Art, at a New Year’s Eve party in 1955 and they were married a year later. Mom was a volunteer during World War II back home and then worked as a secretary here in the States.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Vicki Featherstun (Don) of California and Alexandra “Alex” Hennigan (David) of Ragley; five grandchildren, Brian Rachel, Joseph, Zoe, and Kellie; and one great granddaughter, Melanie Ann.

Cathy is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Art; her parents, James and Helen Quay; and her siblings, Jack, Rachel, Sadie, and Ella.

A memorial funeral mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ragley on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Tim Goodly will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A rosary lead by the Theresians will start at 12:30 PM.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heart of Hospice, Dr. Susan Ieyoub, Gabby, Amanda, Connie, Diane, and Sam for their sincere love and compassion given while caring for Mrs. Siegman.
