Catherine Louise Hathaway

Catherine Louise Hathaway, 57, was born on April 13, 1967 and passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Catherine was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Laura and Othal “Bo” Hathaway. She was a Sulphur resident, and a 1985 graduate of LaGrange High School.

Catherine never met a stranger and could always be found helping her neighbors in any way that she could. She also enjoyed spending her time listening to music and recounting childhood memories with family and friends. When she wasn’t helping her neighbors, she was often found outside of her home enjoying the flowers, watching the birds and looking for golden sunsets in the sky. Most recently, Catherine found tremendous happiness in caring for her new pet companion, Voodoo, who brought her many hours of joy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Madison Camille “Cami” Hathaway; two sisters, Menda Spell and Tebble Robertson; three grandchildren, Adisyn, Henry, and Landon; and five nieces and nephews, Lindse Runge, Corey Spell, Sara Martin, Peyton Terrell and Noah Richard.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Laura Broussard Hathaway and Othal “Bo” Hathaway, Jr., and her faithful canine companion, Domingue.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 9:30am until 11:30am. A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
