Cecile Sittig Corbello Cheek, 77, passed away Monday, October 24, 2022 in her daughter’s residence in Deer Park, Texas.
Mrs. Cheek was born February 6, 1945 in Welsh, Louisiana. She worked at Sheldon Independent School District for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Renee (Keith) Murray of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, Monique Corbello of Deer Park, Texas, and Juliet “Julie” (Doug) Dudley of Deer Park, Texas; grandchildren, Michael (Amber) Cyr, Kelsey (Maverick) Cyr, Ray, Karley, and Kaleb Murray, Steven and Ashly Dudley; great-grandchildren, Rosayln & Perrin Cyr, Cecilia Trahan; siblings, Ruth Falcon, Dorothy (Wendell) Augustine, and Rusty (Vonceil) Sittig.
Mrs. Cheek is preceded in death by her husbands, John Cheek of 17 years, and Billy Corbello of 31 years; her parents, Frank & Lena Sittig; brother and his wife, Ernest & Kathy Sittig, and brother-in-law, Carroll Falcon.
Funeral services are Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Visitation begins Wednesday from 12 p.m., with a rosary recited at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
