Chad Everette Mears

Chad Everette Mears, 38, of Campti, LA passed away at 8:17 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Moss Bluff, LA.

Chad was born on November 20, 1978 in Natchitoches, LA. He attended Iowa High School where he was able to perform his athletic abilities on the football team. Chad could also play the guitar in his earlier years. He had a career in welding and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.

He fought many demons in his life, including addiction, and he put up a tough fight. It was a struggle he will no longer have to endure. Chad is at peace and will be remembered for his kind spirit and heart of gold.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Tina Mears of Campti, LA; daughter, Destany Richard of Lake Arthur, LA; son, Slade Mears of Florida; three siblings, Alisha Mears of Natchitoches, LA, Brandie Mears Chapman of Natchitoches, LA, and Cody Mears (Alisha Manuel) of Moss Bluff; maternal grandmother, Beth Williams of Campti, LA; paternal grandmother and step grandfather, Helen Jane Bebe and Randy Bebe both of Ragley; and maternal step grandmother, Linda Williams of Campti, LA.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Roy Mears and maternal grandfather, Archel Edward Williams, Jr.

The family asks that donations be made for outstanding expenses.
