Charles Kibodeaux

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Allen Kibodeaux, who left us on August 22, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on July 19, 1958, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Charles made his home in DeQuincy, where he became known for his warmth, humor, and love for the great outdoors. Charles was a true craftsman, working as a welder in the construction industry. He was admired by many, not just for his work ethic but for the joy he took in life's simple pleasures.He loved nothing more than spending his time on the river, fishing and soaking up nature. Whether casting a line or sharing stories with family and friends, Charles always found peace and happiness outdoors.He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rebecca Myers; his devoted mother, Velma Kibodeaux; his daughter, Bridgette (Tyler) Baudoin; his son, Charles Kibodeaux; and his grandson Jasper Baudion. Each of them will carry forward the lessons he taught and the love he freely gave.Charles was preceded in death by his father, James Kibodeaux.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.
