In Loving Memory of Charles "Chuck" W. Lyke

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Charles W. Lyke, 83, of Lake Charles, Louisiana-a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Charles lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and quiet strength. He shared 37 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Georgia-a partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering support. Charles was the proud father of four daughters: Teresa, Roe Ellen, Terry, and Kimberly, and three stepchildren: Brian, Darren, and Pam.
He was known for his gentle spirit, his love of football, and his gift for making everyone feel welcome. A skilled baker by trade, Charles was admired not only for his craftsmanship but also for his mentorship and generosity in the workplace.
He is survived by his loving wife, Georgia H. Lyke; his daughters, Teresa Busch, Roe Ellen (John) Gibbs, Terry (Lawrence) Blaylock, and Kimberly (Mike) Hare; his stepchildren, Brian (Leslie) Comeaux, Pam (Keith) LeBouef, and Daren (Angela) Comeaux; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Bascom W. Lyke and Juanita F. Davis of Knoxville, TN; his brothers, George W. Lyke and James C. Lyke; his sisters, Barbara E. Lyke, Carolyn McMahon, and Brenda Rich; and one grandson, Boyd Sullivan.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, Charles's love and wisdom will remain a guiding light in our lives. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Angela Comeaux for her unwavering support during this difficult time.
Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
