Charles James Miller, 70, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 26, 1955, to Felicia Doucet Miller and Noah Miller Sr.
Charles was an incredible mechanic and truly a jack of all trades. If something needed fixing, he could do it. He was rarely seen without his faithful sidekick, Coco, by his side. Although he didn't cook often, when he did, his stuffed potatoes were a family favorite.
An avid outdoorsman, Charles loved fishing, deer hunting, and duck hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, whether teaching them to hunt, working on trucks together, or simply enjoying their company. He also had a passion for motorcycles and was a devoted man of God whose faith remained an important part of his life.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Veronica Gail Bertrand Miller; his daughter, Tanyua Miller Vincent and husband, Michael; his beloved grandchildren, Colin, Cade, Harleigh, and Hannah; his brother, Michael Miller; and his cherished fur baby and faithful companion, Coco.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Charlie James Miller II; and his siblings, Lawrence, Noah Miller Jr., Elaine, and Robert.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home, with Deacon Nixon officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. Charles will be laid to rest at LeBleu Community Cemetery.
