Charles Robert Walker

Charles Robert Walker, 83, passed away July 1, 2018 at a local care center.

Mr. Walker was born in San Antonio, TX and lived most of his life in Lake Charles, LA. Mr. Walker spent much of his early life as a musician playing the organ, trumpet, and piano. He was also a singer and wrote music. He had a ministry called “Have Jesus, Will Travel” where he was an evangelist and musician. He was a fire arms instructor at the Calcasieu Sheriff’s Academy and a Deputy Sheriff. He was also a gunsmith at B & B Gun Refinishing. He then went back to college to study Mechanical Design and began working for Stubbs & Overbeck Engineering.

A graveside service will be held at Consolata Cemetery at 11AM on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Brother Nathan Nazworth will officiate. Vistation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 9:30AM to 10:30AM.
