Iowa – Charles Trahan, 64, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Lafayette, LA.
Charles was born in Lake Charles on June 21, 1952 to Rixby and Irene Trahan. He was a graduate of Bell City High School. Charles was employed with Baker Hughes for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Babineaux Trahan; son; Charles Eric Trahan and wife Leslie; brother, Jimmy Trahan and companion Ann Billodeaux; sisters, Jeanette Landry, Margaret Fontenot and husband Ronald, Melissa Mallet and husband Phil; fiancé, Alisha Papillion; sister in law, Pam Trahan; grandchildren, Kirstin, Ava and Ross. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Saundra “Nikki” Trahan; father, Rixby Trahan and brother Bobby Paul Trahan.
Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Father Dismas Mauk officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation begins Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. in Johnson and Brown Funeral Home and will continue Wednesday in the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. Services are under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
