Cheryl Ann Thompson

Cheryl Ann Thompson, 52, of Lake Charles, died suddenly on Friday October 17, 2014 at her residence. Cheryl was a native of Lake Charles and resided in the Moss Bluff and Ragley area for most of her life. She was a graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She was a homemaker and educator in Calcasieu Parish for many years. Proceeding Cheryl in death are her infant son, Zackery Brady Thompson; mother, Shirley Ann Wold Cooper; and brother, Jackie Glenn Cooper. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her children, Ryan Thompson and wife Kristi, Josh Thompson, Lacy Thompson and Jenny Belle Thompson; two grandchildren, Drake and Myla Thompson; father of her children, Brent Thompson; her father and step-mother, William Howard and Carol Evelyn Cooper; sister, Donna Lynn Duke and husband Scott; half brother, Gary Michael Cooper; sister-in-law, Keena Cooper as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be Thursday October 23, at Johnson Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Glen Cooley and Rev. Kevin Lawson. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
