Cheryl Lynn Reeves

Cheryl Lynn Nix Reeves, 61 years old, of Topsy passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Land Mark of Lake Charles Nursing Center after a lengthy illness.

Visitation will be 11 am, Tuesday, Nov. 22 at Topsy Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm immediately following visitation with the Bro. Lloyd Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Creel Cemetery.

Cheryl was a beloved mother, sister, daughter and friend. 

Cheryl is survived by her two sons, Louis Ashworth, III and his wife Melissa of Topsy, and Clint Ashworth, and his wife Summer of Lake Charles; one daughter, Erica Chesson, and her husband Ben of Sulphur; her parents Ralph Kermit Nix, and his wife Adela of Ganado, TX; two sisters, Cyndi Clark and her husband David of Singer, and Karen Shafer and her husband, Tim of Lolita, TX; one brother, Ronnie Nix and his wife, Crystal of Singer; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Adams Nix. 

Arrangements will be handled by Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
