Welsh – Chester Cormier, 82, passed away in a local care facility on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
He was born in Elton to the late Eugene Cormier and Azena Bertrand on September 21, 1934. He was owner operator of Welsh Auto Body and was a member of the Men’s Club in Fenton. Chester served his country as a US Marine and also fought in the Korean War.
Chester is survived by his wife of 55 years, Beverly Cormier; son, Shawn Phillip Cormier (Miranda); daughter, Lisa Cormier Chaisson (Bryan); brother, Bob Cormier; sister, Dianne LeBouef (Wendell); 8 grandchildren; his beloved dog Bella. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Cormier, Shirley Shomo, Elvin Cormier .
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Charles the Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton with Father Rojo Antony officiating on March 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation begins Wednesday in the church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
