Chris Leger, 48, of Carlyss passed away on May 11, 2017 in his residence. He was a native of Rayne and lived in Johnson Bayou for 20 years before moving to Carlyss. Chris was an operator for E&B Natural Resources, and an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He believed in living life to its fullest and will be remembered for his inspiration. Chris loved each day with a happy heart and a smile.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Amanda Trahan Leger; daughters, Chelsey Leger and Morgan Leger all of Carlyss; his mother, Audrey Leger of Rayne; siblings, Ricky Leger and wife Mary of Haughton, LA, Mona Easterling and husband Donnie of Willis, TX, Annette Ishmael and husband Rod of Conroe, TX and Lisa Richard and husband Clyde of Rayne, LA; mother-in-law, Loreta Trahan; brothers-in-law, Edmond Trahan and wife Alberta, Ernest Trahan and wife Stephanie; sister-in-law, Helen Trahan and Robert Constance all of Carlyss; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Joseph Leger, Sr. and his father-in-law, Ernest O’Landry Trahan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10 A.M. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 1-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. with visitation continuing on Monday, May 15 at 8 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.Visits: 13
