Chris Lebleu

Christopher Michael LeBleu, 40, of LeBleu Settlement, passed away on June 1, 2021.

Born July 22, 1980 in Jennings, LA, Chris was raised and lived all of his life in LeBleu Settlement / Hecker areas.  He was a 1999 graduate of Iowa High School, where he played football, baseball, and excelled in track.  He graduated form Sowela Technical School with an Electrical degree and his degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.  He began his career with One Hour Martinizing with maintenance and also worked for Harrah’s Casino in maintenance.  For the past seven years, he worked as a consultant with OMC, Int. and had a true love for his job.

Chris was raised in the Catholic faith.  He enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting and loved listening to a variety of music, especially French music on Sundays.  He loved LSU and the New Orleans Saints and followed Iowa High School in football, baseball and track.  Chris had a love for life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was loved by many and will never be forgotten.

Chris is survived by his wife of eight years, Mindey LeBleu; parents, Phillip and Becky LeBleu; daughters, Kierstyn and Anna LeBleu; step-sons, Kyle Psencik and wife Kayla, Kory Psencik and fiancée Caitlin Bartlett and Kolton Psencik and fiancée Lillie Wooten; brother, Steven Corey LeBleu; special friend, Meryle Sue Reed; grandchildren, Kinslea Psencik, Parker Psencik, and Wyatt Odell; niece, Baleigh LeBleu; God-child, Hayden LeBleu; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, London LeBleu; and grandparents, Mitchell Lonzo LeBleu, Sr. and Virgie Mae LeBleu and Eldridge and Lillian Ardoin.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Deacon Stephen Starr will officiate.  Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Chloe, LA.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
