Chris Allen Olsen

With hearts heavy yet filled with gratitude for having known him, we announce the unexpected passing of Chris Olsen at the age of 51, who departed this life at his home in Carlyss, Louisiana, on June 25, 2026. Born on August 14, 1974, in Sulphur, Louisiana, Chris lived a life rich in love, laughter, and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was the beloved son of James Olsen. He is now reunited in peace with his cherished sister, Jamie, and his grandparents, Spiro and Elma Olsen, and mother, Emma Olsen. He is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle Olsen, with whom he shared an extraordinary 25 years of marriage and together for 35 years. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and joy, raising two wonderful children, Sarah and Max Olsen, whose lives were enriched by his loving guidance and humor.

He was a proud father-in-law to Karli Olsen and a doting grandfather to his two grandsons, Tate and Leland Olsen, who brought him immense pride and happiness. Though his time with them was too short, his legacy of love will forever be a guiding light in their lives.

He loved to be in the great outdoors. He found peace and joy in fishing and hunting, and he possessed an uncanny ability to sense deer even from miles away while sleeping, snoring louder than ever. And could cook some of the best foods you could ever imagine, that will keep you thinking of him forever. These hobbies were not just pastimes for him; they were opportunities to connect with nature and share memorable experiences with family and friends.
