Christina "Tina" Vincent Taylor, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026. Tina was born to Marida Ida Cain and Christopher Vincent on February 23, 1946, in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Christina (Tina) was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt who loved everyone unconditionally. She let her love for the Lord shine through her with a kind and loving heart. A special trait Tina possessed was how she loved her husband Ray's family as her own. They were not in-laws; they were mother, father, brothers, and sisters to her. She was happiest when surrounded by family. Tina passed away the same date her husband Ray passed away, on the 9th of January, 16 years later.
Tina was a woman of the Earth God gave her and was often referred to as "Mother Earth." She believed-and proved many times-that God gave us the ability and means from the Earth He created to help ourselves. If you were sick, she would research and discover what was needed to help you heal.
She lived in a world where she felt at home with her husband, Ray, and her children, all of whom she loved and adored. She thrived nestled in her wooded corner of the world. Her love of nature may have been overwhelming to some, but it came natural to her. Tina was at peace and content in her wooded area, searching for herbs and roots, or on the water with a fishing pole and a baited hook.
Tina was never one to shy away from hard work. She worked alongside her husband with saw, hammer, and nails to build their home. Many days she worked on their home while he was at work and somehow still managed to have a hot meal for her family every night.
She adored her grandchild and great-grandchildren, providing them with care, love, and guidance.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Christopher (Baby) Vincent; son, Anthony Kirk Taylor; grandchild, Amanda Jade Runyan Monceaux; great-grandchildren, Savannah Marie Leger, Sierra Nicole Leger, Cameron Raye Leger, and Kaenan James Monceaux; sisters-in-law, Barbary Ellen Taylor Douget (Harold), Donna Faye Taylor Stearns (John), and Danita Taylor Jardneaux(Wayne); along with many nieces and nephews whom she adored and loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Taylor; her parents, Marida Ida Cain and Christopher Vincent; her children, Christopher Donald Taylor (Donnie) and Darlisa Rae Taylor; and her brother Jessie Vincent along with half-siblings, Woodrow Vincent, William L. Vincent, Lora Belle (Sis) Vincent O'Quain, James C. Vincent, Eugene Vincent (Pete), Junis (Junior) Vincent, Rose Anna Vincent Jardneaux, Agnes Jardneaux Smith, Yvonne Jardneaux Alexander, and Eva Marie Jardneaux Pharis. Also a sister-in-law, Loretta Vincent, wife of Christopher (Baby) Vincent, with who she shared a special bond.
