Christine Ann Draper

Christine Ann Draper, 54, of Sulphur, LA passed away on January 9, 2019 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family. Christine was born on November 7, 1964 in Lake Charles, LA to Ronald and Annie May Lavallit Draper. Christine was a nurse in the area for 30 years. She loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially cooking for them.  Christine especially loved Mardi Gras, the Mardi Gras Balls and was one of the founders of Krewe De Bon Amis. She made her Cursillo and was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church.

Christine is preceded in death by her mother, Annie May Lavallit Draper and her sister-in-law, Jennifer Draper. Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Chance (Jordyn) Draper and Charles Draper; along with Christine’s  fiancé, Chris Derrico and one grandchild, Seryn Draper; father, Ronald Draper.  She also leaves two brothers, Gary Draper and Brian (Kendra) Draper and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5-9PM with a Cursillo Rosary at 7PM.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 11AM-1PM with a funeral service immediately following.  Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Elton, LA.
