Cindy McLaughlin, 59, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, June 7, 2017.
She was born in Charleston, South Carolina to Ralph J. and Antonia Del Prete on November 25, 1957. Cindy worked in the education field for 27 years as a teacher and counselor. She took great pride in teaching students. She taught at Lumberton ISD then went on to teach at Orangefield ISD. After teaching for several years Cindy became a counselor at Bridge City ISD and then went to Lacassine as a counselor. She ended her career at WEIC.
Cindy was one who was kind to everyone and she never met a stranger. She had an infectious smile and a heartfelt laugh that will be missed by all.
She is survived by her mother, Antonia Del Prete; daughter, Misty Stantz and husband Brent; sister, Carmella Stuckenburg and husband Bob; grandchildren, Deacon, Tyson and Weston Stantz. She is preceded in death by her father Ralph Del Prete and her sister Maria Del Prete.
A Memorial Service will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Father Alan Trouille officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Gathering of family & friends will be Tuesday in the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. with a Rosary at 1 p.m.
