He joined the Insulators and Asbestos Local 112 out of Lake Charles, LA working various jobs throughout the country. Diane fell in love with her “Knight in Shining Armor”, and through a mutual love of guns with her father, Clark received permission for her hand in marriage, exchanging vows on January 27, 1973 in Portage, Indiana. After completing many jobs on their carrier journey across the country, Clark and Diane settled in Lake Charles, LA. where they started their family. Clark was a proud father to his two children, Chad and Dayna and a source of joy for his family, often as the life of the party.
Clark’s love of building furniture drove him and Diane to open a furniture and gift shop where he was able to live out his dream of being a business owner. He would eventually focus his career to Law Enforcement joining the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department with 15 years of service and retiring in 2011. Spending time with his family brought him the most joy, but his other hobbies included hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
