Clay Louis Barrilleaux, 64, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 4:25 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2017 in his residence.
Mr. Barrilleaux was born April 16, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA, where he was a lifelong resident. He was a 1972 graduate of Lake Charles High School, where he played both football and baseball. He worked for Hercules and retired from PPG (now Westlake Chemical) in caustic shipping. He was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Mr. Barrilleaux had a passion for playing golf and was an avid LSU Sports Fan. He had a love for his grandson and family that was immeasurable.
Mr. Barrilleaux is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Marlene Vidrine-Barrilleaux; son, Brian Barrilleaux and wife Natalie of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brayden Price Barrilleaux and Jailyn Moore; sister, Julie Barrilleaux Hill of Beebe, AR; nieces, Kerri Riley Berlinger and husband Jack, Kristi Riley Widcamp, and Laurel Hill; nephews, Daniel and Michael Lowrey; great-niece, Addison Widcamp; sisters-in-law, Susan Lowrey and Chris Vidrine; mother of his child, Carolyn Price Austin; and his beloved TV buddy, Cookie the Cat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joyce Chauvin Barrilleaux; and sister, Francine Barrilleaux Riley.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
