Concetta Hidalgo Billedeaux, born in Lake Charles, on October 30, 1958, daughter of the late Francis and Elaine Hidalgo, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019, at the age of 60.
Concetta was a native of Westlake and resided in LeBleu Settlement. She was a graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School class of 1976 and was an employee of BMC of Westlake.
Concetta was a lover of life blessed with a beautiful smile that brightened the room. She had a playful spirit and infectious laughter that often led to joyful tears and sore abdomens. At her 60th birthday celebration she playfully donned her gifted pink onesie outfit in the restaurant like a jester in court. Concetta was also well known for dressing in nice clothing, often choosing to wear fun prints, hats, and elegant jewelry. She demonstrated her love and generosity through cooking freshly prepared meals daily for her husband, remaining in touch with loved ones, and sharing beloved treasures and memories with family and friends. She was also member of the Corvette Club of Lake Charles and loved riding motorcycles. Concetta’s beautiful spirit will always remain in our hearts.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Nicky Billedeaux; 8 siblings and their spouses, Sherwood Hidalgo, Carmel Fazzio (Anthony), Dolores Dommert (Les), Joanne Hidalgo, John Hidalgo, Kevin Hidalgo, Regina Hidalgo, Francis “Frank” Hidalgo (Brandy); mother-in-law, Mary Billedeaux Fruge; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Elaine Hidalgo; father-in-law, Bufford Billedeaux.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Henry Catholic Church of Lake Charles on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Matthew Cormier as celebrant. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home – Iowa, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.
