Connie A. Hicks

Connie Authement Hicks, 74, of Mauriceville, TX  passed away on August 15, 2018. She enjoyed painting ceramics, playing bingo, and was very supportive of her children. Connie made a Cursillo and had an unwavering love for her family and friends.

Connie is survived by her husband of 41 years, George D. Hicks of Mauriceville; four children, Nadine Conner, Wade Conner, Darrell Conner, and Spencer Conner; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Wilma Sullivan of Lake Charles, LA, Mary Louise Nunez from Mauriceville, TX, Georgia Constance of Carlyss, LA, and Mary Lynn Constance of Big Lake, LA; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her 2 sons, Willard and Edward Conner; her parents, Jackson and Azora Authement; 4 sisters, Thelma Griffith, Jean Erbelding, Jackie Jinks, and Barbara Leger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10 A.M. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry with Father Arzind Minz, HGN officiating. Burial will be in New Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Hall in Hackberry on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 3-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. with visitation continuing on Saturday, August 18, from 8 A.M. until time of the service.
