Connie Marie Dousay, born in Lake Charles, LA on December 5, 1942, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at age 79.
Connie was a graduate of Marion High School. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading cookbooks. Connie loved being with family and friends and had a way of making everyone feel so welcomed and good about themselves.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Evin John Billedeaux, and Orthere Eve Bourque; son, Mark Dousay, and brother, Buford Billedeaux.
Connie is survived by her son, David Dousay (Jennifer) of Fort Worth, Texas; siblings, Leola Vincent, Ella Lalanne, Zora Bertrand, E. J. Billedeaux, Dwight Billedeaux, and Debbie Hebert; grandchildren, Sophie Marie Dousay, Claire J. Dousay, and Camryn Elizabeth Dousay; father of her children, L. H. Dousay.
A gathering of friends and family will begin Friday, August 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Funeral services are Friday at 1 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Friends are invited to visit after the service in the funeral home until 3 p.m. Cremation will follow the gathering under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
