Connie Sue Fontenot

Connie Sue Fontenot, born in Lake Charles on May 7, 1993, daughter of Larry Fontenot, Jr., and Frances Lottie Lovett Fontenot (David Lee Fontenot), passed away tragically on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was 29.
Connie attended Iowa High School and worked at the Calcasieu Waterworks Ward 8. She was also a server. More importantly, Connie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Sunshine Marie Fontenot; grandparents, Joseph and Carolyn Lovett; aunts, Connie and Veronica Lovett; uncles, Jimmy, Joe and Robert Lovett. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life, Jeffrey “Bryan” Spell, Jr.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are her mother, Frances Lovett Fontenot (David Lee Fontenot); father, Larry Fontenot, Jr.; children, Eden Fontenot, Kaynan Guidry, Kayden Guidry, Kayson Guidry, Evelynn Guidry, Emmalynn Fontenot; siblings, Larry Fontenot, III, Bethany Fontenot, Luke Fontenot, Ethan Fontenot, Angel Fontenot, Dave Fontenot, Jonathan Fontenot, Chad Fontenot; aunts and uncles, C.W. Lovett, Jessie Lovett, Mary Camp, Angie Lovett, Carolyn Lovett, and Rose Lovett; and numerous cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Theodore Catholic Church Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11a.m. Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Birds Nest Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary and Celebration of Life at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with expenses.
