Constance "Connie" Marie Bourgeois

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Constance "Connie" Marie Bourgeois, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, who left us on November 2, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on December 29, 1950, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, Connie lived a full and vibrant life, making a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Connie graduated from Reeves High School and later earned her associate’s degree from Sowela Technical College, paving the way for a dedicated career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Her compassion and commitment to her patients were admired by all who worked alongside her. 

In 1981, Connie married the love of her life, Rodney Bourgeois. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including her cherished children: Jason Troy Bourgeois (Jody), Michelle Renee Turner (Andrew), and Teresa Rhea Robison. Connie took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, lovingly guiding and supporting her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who brought boundless joy to her life. 

A talented quilter and seamstress, Connie found joy in creating beautiful pieces for friends and family alike. Her warm personality and caring spirit were a source of comfort to many, and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched. 

She is survived by her spouse, Rodney, her children, and her siblings: Richard Attales (Belinda), Paul Attales (Debbie), Joey Attales (Donna), Tony Attales (Shari), and sister Rebecca Babineaux, who will all miss her dearly. 

We invite family and friends to join us for a visitation at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on November 8, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Service celebrating Connie's life will follow at 1:00 PM. Come share your memories and stories as we honor a wonderful woman who meant so much to so many. 

Connie Bourgeois, you will be missed more than words can express. Your kindness, creativity, and love for your family will forever be remembered. Rest peacefully. 

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Burline Hardy Attales; her sister Ramona Attales.
