Copeland Tyler Joseph Borel

Lake Charles

Copeland Tyler Joseph Borel, "Buzz", 29, was born on September 18, 1996, in Sulphur, LA and passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 12, 2026, in Lake Charles.

Copeland lived loudly, fully and unapologetically. He leaves behind stories that will be told for years, laughter that still echoes, and a space that can never be filled.

He was known for his unmistakable presence and especially those gorgeous locks of hair. He had a gift for growing just about anything, earning him a true green thumb. Whether at a skate park, building scaffolds, cooking on the pit, talking fast cars, fishing, hiking, or chasing the next adventure, Copeland found joy in the simple things and made ordinary moments unforgettable.

Above all, Copeland loved his family deeply. He leaves behind his beloved sons, Greyson and Jameson Borel; his mother, Dayna Paige Borel; father, David Andrews (Wanda); grandmothers, Betty Reed and Wanda Borel; sisters, Whittany (Abby), Bethany (Drew), and Kyleigh and brother, Daulton. He also leaves countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones who will carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, and best friend, Ronald J. Borel; great grandparents, Willis Royer, Rosalie Myers Royer, Eugene Borel and Sophie Correne Landry, along with many other loved ones who went before him. We find peace in imagining the reunion of Cope and his Poppa.

“Though are hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing Copeland loved his Lord and Savior”.

Private services will be held with interment to follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton, LA.

Memorial celebrations will be announced at a later date.
