Craig M. Boudreaux, known as "Boudreaux," passed away in his home in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on September 16, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on February 19, 1957, in Lake Charles, Craig was a lifelong resident who made a lasting mark on his community through his dedication, humor, and love.
Craig had three great loves in his life: NASCAR, his career at Southwest Beverage, and, most importantly, his family. For forty years, he worked at Southwest Beverage, where he built lasting relationships with coworkers and clients. But the true keeper of his heart was his beloved family. Married to Linda Gauthreaux Boudreaux for forty-two years, Craig deeply cherished his wife and children
An excellent cook, he competed in many cook-offs as a proud member of the Southwest Beverage team. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking—passions he shared with his father-in-law, with whom he had a special bond. Craig regularly competed in the Budweiser Bondo Bucket Fishing Tournament, where he was a founding member.
Though Craig was a quiet man, he was known for his witty sense of humor. If he joked with you, it meant he liked you. His warmth, honesty, loyalty, and integrity were the foundation of his relationships, especially with his grandson, Kayden, who held a special place in his heart.
Craig will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his family and friends. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and humor will live on in the memories of those fortunate enough to have known "Boudreaux The Budman."
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Linda Gauthreaux Boudreaux of Lake Charles; his son, Kasey Boudreaux of Youngsville, LA; his daughter, Kristen Boudreaux, and her fiancé, James Mello Jr., of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Kayden Boudreaux and Kamila Laughlin of Lake Charles; his sister, Barbara Boudreaux of Warrenton, VA; his brothers-in-law, Daniel Lavergne of Lake Charles and David Gauthreaux (Daphne) of Lake Charles; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Moise Boudreaux and Louise Gary Boudreaux, and his sister, Anita Lavergne.
A gathering of family and friends, in honor of the celebration of life for Craig will be held on Thursday, September 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a reciting of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will take place on Friday, September 20, at Highland Memory Gardens.
