Curtis Joseph Abshire

Curtis Joseph Abshire, 80, of Lake Charles died on Sunday, July 08, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mr. Abshire was born on October 22, 1931 in Kaplan, LA and lived in the Lake Charles/Moss Bluff area most of his life. He worked at Dunham Price for 40 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are three sons; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Miller will officiate. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Abshire Cemetery in Kaplan, LA. Deacon David Vaughn will officiate. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
