Dalbertine “Debbie” Burleigh Gauthreaux

Debbie Ann Burleigh Gauthreaux, 88, of Lake Charles passed away at 4:47 AM on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 in a local care facility.

Born on January 5, 1938, in Vinton, she was raised in Sulphur and graduated from Sulphur High School. She attended McNeese before beginning a lifelong career with Radiology Associates, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

A devoted member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, her faith was an important part of her life. She and her husband shared a love of camping, creating many treasured memories together through their travels and time spent outdoors.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Gauthreaux Boudreaux and David Gauthreaux (Daphne); grandchildren, Kasey Boudreaux (Morgan), Terra Gauthreaux Jones (Wes), Kristen Mello (James), and Phillip Gauthreaux (Kayla); and great grandchildren, Kayden Boudreaux and Mia Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ted Gauthreaux; parents, Dalbert and Velma Burleigh; and son in law, Craig Boudreaux.

A funeral mass will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026 in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Father Ruben Buller will officiate. Burial in Highland Memory Gardens will be held at a later date under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her beloved and devoted caretaker, Karen Lominac, and to the staff at Resthaven Nursing Home and Brighton Bridge Hospice, for the exceptional care given to Mrs. Gauthreaux and her family during this time of need.
