Dale Ann Lutgring

Dale Ann Meekins Lutgring, 63, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 5:35 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in her residence.

Mrs. Lutgring was born March 6, 1952 in Austin, TX and traveled with her Air Force parents. She was a graduate of USL nursing school. In 1975, she made Lake Charles her home. She worked as a registered nurse, spending most of her career at Christus St. Patrick Hospital, until her retirement in 2015. She was a member of St. Luke-Simpson United Methodist Church. Dale loved crafts and making jewelry. She will always be remembered as a sweet and quiet woman who loved her husband Terry, who she referred to as her six foot toddler.

Mrs. Lutgring is survived by her husband of forty years, Terry Herman Lutgring; daughter, Terri Anne Lutgring and boyfriend, Donovan Alderson of Sulphur; granddaughter, Alita Alderson; mother, Tillie Meekins of Houston, TX; brother, Jeff Meekins, also of Houston, TX; and sister, Laura Awad of CA.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Meekins.

Her cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
