Dalton Ray Broussard

Dalton Ray Broussard, 77, of Lake Charles died at 8:35 AM on Friday, October 10, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Broussard was born on May 11, 1937 in Sulphur where he was raised and was a 1956 graduate of Sulphur High School. He served in the US Navy for 20 years from 1955 until retiring in 1974. Mr. Broussard was an operator for Gulf States Utilities where he retired in 1994. He was a member of the Prien Lake Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 57 years, Louella Guillory Broussard; a son and his wife, Jeffrey Broussard and Melody of Lake Charles; three daughters and their husbands, Tanya Ashley and Richard of Opelousas, Donna Malone and Sean of Benton, LA, and Nedra Guillory and Chris of Carlyss; a brother, Ronald Broussard of Sulphur; a sister, Karen Broussard of Edgerly; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ethan Ashley. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Aaron Guillory will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM until the start of the service.
