Dalton Willett, born in Merryville on September 8, 1940. Dalton was the son of the late William and Della (Dunn) Willett, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the age of 81.
Dalton was a graduate of Merryville High School. He retired from the Louisiana Highway Department. Dalton served in the United States Army. He attended the Bethany Baptist Church of LeBleu Settlement. Dalton loved playing the guitar, gardening, hunting, carpentry, and wood working. He enjoyed playing music with the Junction Playboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Shirley Jean Davidson.
Dalton is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Billy Willett; his 2 sons; Shannon (Jennifer) Willett; and Marc (Kimberly) Willett; 13 grandchildren; and his beloved pet Tigger.
Visitation will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 5 p.m. ~ 8 p.m. Graveside services will be in Cannon Cemetery in Merryville on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 3 p.m. under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
