On April 12, 2015 Dana Tupper Bebee passed peacefully at her home.
Dana was born April 22, 1950 in Welsh to Peggy and Warren Tupper. She was the first of five siblings. She graduated from Welsh High school and married her best friend Dwight Bebee on April 12, 1968. They welcomed their son Wayne in 1969 and daughter Tammy in 1971. Dana devoted her life to her husband and children. She was very active with the clubs in which her children participated. She became a 4-H Leader, the Jeff Davis Parish Jr. Leader’s Sponsor, a substitute teacher and became certified as a bus driver to drive the Activity bus to their various trips and functions. Dana never missed a livestock show, a speech competition, a cooking competition, a pageant, or any other time her children were competing. She also loved to go hunting and fishing with Dwight and after 47 years, he still enjoyed baiting her hook because they were together doing something they both loved.
Dana had a smile that could light up any room and never met a story she did not love to tell! She loved to laugh, enjoyed jokes and loved to play pranks. In her 20 years as a florist at A Daisy A Day in Lake Charles and Kreations by A Daisy A Day in Iowa, she provided a peaceful comfort to families during their times of bereavement; shared in the joy of many a brides’ special day and helped numerous husbands get out of the “dog house”. Her amazing talent and calming spirit will long be appreciated and remembered by the clients she so enjoyed serving.
Of all the titles she held during her lifetime, “Gammy” was probably her favorite. Her beautiful grandchildren Max and Morgan were the light of her eyes. She loved making memories with them. Dana and Dwight made many trips to Florida to be with their grandbabies and took them on numerous cruises and vacations.
Dana is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 47 years Dwight Bebee, her loving children Tammy and Wayne Bebee and grandchildren Max and Morgan Kronlage. She is also survived by her Sister Vicki Tupper Anders, her Godsons Christopher Anders and Dennis Bebee, and her brothers Woody Tupper, Warren Tupper, Jr., and Dale Tupper. She had many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Armonte and Wilfred Robinson and her parents Peggy and Warren Tupper.
Even in passing, Dana was still a giving person as she was a tissue donor. She requested that in lieu of flowers or plants that her family and friends consider making a donation to any of the following: Abraham’s Tent, as that was her favorite place to volunteer, The Free to Breathe organization, as she lost her battle with lung cancer, or The Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Foundation because she and her siblings lost their Mother to breast cancer.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Johnson and Brown Funeral Home at 505 E. Highway 90 in Iowa from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m.
