Daniel Raymond Bellard

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Daniel Raymond Bellard, who left us on May 14, 2026, at the age of 75. Daniel was born on September 28, 1950, in Welsh, Louisiana, where he spent his life making memories and enjoying the great outdoors.

Daniel was a hardworking welder fitter at Zigler Ship Yard, a job he took great pride in. He was a man of many skills and had a profound understanding of the world around him. Known for his love of hunting and tending to his animals, Daniel truly embraced life as an avid outdoorsman. He often spent weekends in the woods, relishing the tranquility of nature.

He is survived by his sisters, Judy Duplechian and Dorena Ardoin, and his lifelong friend, Randy Fontenot. His family will remember him for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the laughter he brought into their lives.

Graveside services for Daniel will take place on May 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Ardoin Cove Cemetery Rd in Welsh, LA, to celebrate his life and say their goodbyes. Please join us in honoring the wonderful man that Daniel was. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
